About LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR

Objectives

To spread the good news to the people.
To care for economically disadvantaged people within the community.
To promote, support and assist development and relief projects of the community.
To offer skills training programme to local people as part of empowerment.
To ensure that the needy have access to basic food.
To offer guidance and counseling to those who are affected and infected by the socio economic situation.
To restore the Christian morals and values in society.

The area of operation will be within and outside the boundaries of the Republic of South Africa.

Our History

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR was started by founders: Mr. Andy and Mrs. Pauline Mbumba on 19 March 2019. It has opened various projects namely: ANGEL KIDS DAYCARE, FEED THEM YOURSELVES (a feeding scheme) and many others to come.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR is a Christian relief, development and non profit organization.

“Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them - the Lord who remains faithful forever.

He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, and the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.”

Mission statement

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR is a partnership of Christians whose mission is to serve our Lord and savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor, the vulnerable and the marginalized to promote human transformation and bear witness to the good news of the kingdom of God.

We pursue this mission through:

Transformational development that is community based and sustainable focused on the needs of poor, vulnerable and marginalized people.
Emergency relief that assists people afflicted by conflict or disaster
Witness to Jesus Christ by life, deed, word and sign that encourage people to respond to the Gospel.

Vision statement

Shalom (complete peace, joy, happiness from the Almighty God) of every human being created in the image of God.

The name of the organization is LOVE THY NEIGHBOR. The organization is organized exclusively for the purposes which are both religious and charitable, namely to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by rendering holistic Christian service throughout the world among the poor, the vulnerable and marginalized without regard to race, color, creed or sex.

I have enjoyed my experience with LOVE THY NEIGHBOR (ANGEL KIDS DAYCARE) all these ten years that I volunteered and will continue doing so for the rest of my life, I am truly belssed with this opportunity to serve.

I have acquired a lot such as, to always be ready, learn from others, to be attentive, cautious, loving and respectful.

Goals

Our goals are to help and serve others, which is my passion and continues to be achieved by being an assistant teacher at ANGEL KIDS DAYCARE.

I teach children from 3 months to 5 years. Potty training toddlers, doing art, music and movement, worksheets and playing with the children to develop their fine and gross motor skills, to develop them holistically.

My goals are fulfilled when seeing them off to grade 1 fully developed and equipped with morals that will guide them in life as they grow.

Tasks

Working together with the teachers, principal and children to reach a holistic development of the children. My tasks

includes: teaching, cleaning, cooking, do art, music and movement, prepare for the annual year-end concert, parents meetings, children gallery, fun days, graduations and many other events.

The bonds formed

It is very hard to let go the connections we make with each one of them. The unity springs up from many memories formed together. The trust and love we share as a family formed from different families is very strong and unique. We part with each other but the bonds are forever.

Love has been the center of all things we do. Putting God first most importantly helped us accomplish all this, we look out for each other, protect, respect, care and grow old together with life lessons.
